Do you wish to write SEO friendly content to your web site or blog?

The process of optimizing a website is an art and completion of a list of tactics. Failing to do that will leave your site ontic and unable to find in the top google searches.

After recent google changes, frequent asking question topic was how to do the optimized content writing to do the SEO / SEM that will rank well in search engines.

So, in this article, I’m going to cover some valuable tips for writing SEO optimized content that helps your site to get into top google searches.

Writing SEO-Optimized Articles :

If you really want to highlight from the others, if you really think about the quality of the content, if you really want to make a difference for your clients, start with research, otherwise, your assertions are merely a guess, not a fact.

First, we have to determine a few things:

•       Type of the article
•       target Keyword
•       Article length
•       Analysis of existing articles
•       FAQ

First of all, you can’t go rafting without Oars. You need proper tools for the proper project. Armed with the right tool. In this case, tools such as SEMRUSH or ahrefs. These will assist you to determine the keyword that we should be targeting.
Do better research on your topic and do proper optimization of keywords.

Type of content:

Type your target keyword in the Google search to check what kind of articles are currently in top ranking.
This will help you understand what kind of article Google thinks is better for such a query.

Article Length

Then we have to get an idea about the length of the article. Tools like SEO Rambler will help to identify the common length of articles that are ranking for our targeted keyword.

As shown in the below screenshot, the first-page average word count for my target keyword is 2445 and the top three average is 3576. So, I have to ensure this Search engine optimization article contains 3600+ word count.

Now we know the length and word limit of the article. Now we can create an outline based on the research & reading academic articles.

Analyze the top 10 results for your target keyword. I know It is very much time-consuming. No doubt it’s a real pain. But If you want to gain ranking #1 no pain no gain.

People also ask:

Search for your target keyword in Google search and it will show a section called “people also ask”.

Choose the questions that make sense with the article intent and answer them in the article. But, don’t stop here, there are more questions and answer you can include in the article. Google will add more questions after when you click on one of the questions, of people also ask section. Go through the questions and answer the best possible questions you can.

Your chore is giving answers to queries people are looking for and this is the smartest way to ensure your SEO content optimization.

Alright, now let’s move to the second part of the optimization for better SEO.

1. Title and Meta Title

What’s the difference between post title and meta title?

Post title and Meta title have two different roles and both are vital.

The title is what your reader reads like the title of the post on your website.

Post meta title is what search engines show the post in search results.We have to specify a meta title in SEO settings, otherwise post title will be treated as the meta title.

Also, google recommended to keep your post titles less than 66 characters and also it is very important to add keywords in the meta title.

2. Meta Description

What is Meta Description?

The meta description shows in the search results of the search engine.  

A meta description is a meta tag that performs as a summary that defines the content of a web page or post.
Meta descriptions show in the search results of the search engine.

Meta descriptions are the tempting factor for users to click through to a page and play an effective role in on-page SEO.

The meta description is more likely the sales pitch of your page or post. It should include 155 to 160 characters including the targeted keywords. By optimizing your meta descriptions, you are ensuring that every content, every post, every page has the potential to drive a maximum amount of traffic to the site.

3.Image Alt Attribute

Adding images to your articles attract more audience and encourages them to read. Also, relevant images will get a good ranking in image search results and will back up your message.

What is Image Alt Attribute?

If the image cannot be displayed alt attribute specifies an alternate text for an image. The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it. It can be a slow connection, an error in the source attribute or can be another reason. for example, Screen readers for the blind and visually impaired will read out this text and therefore make your image accessible. We should always give any images in the site to good alt attributes. The Alt Tags on the site should describe what’s on it.alt Attribute strengthens the message of your articles with search engine spiders and improves the accessibility of your website. Google recognizes images via text. To make sure that search engines will understand what an image about it has to be used in proper image names. Also, its always best to use the targeted keyword in the image alt text.

4. Interlink and Anchor Text

What is Anchor Text?

Anchor text is the clickable words used to link one web page to another page. It helps to Organise site architecture and communicates to search engines the most important web pages. Anchor text is another important SEO factor. It helps to improve navigation of your site which reduces the bounce rate. There are a few best practices on how to optimize an anchor text.

    Keep it natural and versatile.
    Place anchors where users pay the most attention
    Avoid over optimization.
    Anchors should relevant to the content.
    Avoid links related to spam sites.
    Distribute anchors in the right proportions.
    Focus anchors on deep-level pages.

5.Remove STOP words from Permalink

What is permalink ?

A permalink is a URL for a web page, blog or article. It’s drive from the combination of the words“permanent” and “link”. Permalink provides a simple and unchanging URL to guarantee the page remains reachable and avoids issues with broken links.

What are stop words?

Search Engine avoids common words that are called stop words to speed up the crawling process and to save space in the database. Words like “a” “an” “the” “and” "another" "are" common stop words.Check out the list of stop words skip by the google spider.   

6. H1, H2, H3 Headings

Using the correct Headings tags is another vital aspect of SEO . Using proper H1, H2 , H3 heading tags are very effective in SEO content optimization. Header tags are important on-page SEO. It communicates to the search engines what your web site is all about. Search engines identify the copy in your header tags as more significant than the rest. This starts with your H1. It's way down in a matter of importance. After H1 , for the next subheading is H2 and then H3 and so on. These will help to back the overall theme and purpose of the page or post. Also when we using heading tags is better to use your keywords in H1, H2, and H3 tags. You should decide what’s your heading tags should be when you creating an outline after the research.
